Wrong Currency

Q: The currency of my report is listed incorrectly, how do I change it?

If the total for your selected report is listed in the wrong currency, this means that either the default currency or the individual report's currency is selected incorrectly.

Default currency

If all your reports are listed in the incorrect currency, it is likely that the default currency for all reports is selected incorrectly.

iOS or Android app

To select the default currency in the app:

  1. Tap the ≡ menu.

  2. Tap Settings.

  3. Tap General.

  4. Tap Default Currency and select the desired currency.

Web portal

To select the default currency on the web portal:

  1. Alternatively, click on the "Account" button in the top right corner and select Settings:


  2. The default currency can be selected under the General tab.

Report currency

If the default currency is correct, you need to check the individual report's currency.

iOS or Android app

To change a report's currency in the app:

  1. Go to the Reports tab (second from the right at the bottom):​

  2. Swipe left on the report and tap the Edit button (blue):​

  3. Select the new currency and save the report.

  4. After changing a report's currency, you might need to edit the exchange rate for some receipts. For more information on how to edit the exchange rate, see this article.

Web portal

To change a report's currency on the web portal:

  1. Go to the Reports tab via https://smartreceipts.co/reports/.

    Alternatively, click Reports in the top menu:

  2. Find the affected report, tap the ⋯ button, and select Edit:

  3. Select the desired currency under "Currency".
