Deleting Your Account

How to delete your Smart Receipts account

Important: When you delete your account, your subscription is not canceled automatically. Please follow the instructions here to cancel your subscription.

iOS or Android app

You can delete your account directly through the application:

  1. Tap the menu button (top left).

  2. Before you proceed, make sure you are logged in (you should see a Sign out button and your email address).

  3. Tap Settings.

  4. Tap Support.

  5. Tap Delete Account Request.

If you see an error message, such as "Failed to delete account. Please contact support":

  1. Take a screenshot of the error message.

  2. Tap OK to close the message.

  3. Tap Ask Support.

  4. This should take you to your email application and generate a draft.

  5. Add a short description of the error, e.g. "I cannot delete my account".

  6. Attach the screenshot to the message.

  7. Send the message.

Web portal

Please note that access to the web portal requires an active PRO or MAX subscription.

If you want to delete your account through the web portal, follow this procedure:

  1. Click the Account button in the upper right corner and click Profile.
    Alternatively, access the profile through this link: https://smartreceipts.co/account/.

  2. Click the red Delete account button.

  3. Confirm account deletion.
